In addition to learning Photoshop, you learn about scanning, lighting, camera functions and the business of photography.

NYIP’s Short Course: Fundamentals of Digital Photography is designed for beginners or hobbyists who want to learn how to get the most out of their cameras. It covers all the practical, basic information that beginners need to know in order to take beautiful photographs and take control of the camera. You can take these skills and begin to capture high quality photographs of friends, family, pets, vacations and much, much more.

If you're just getting started, the Fundamentals of Digital Photography may be enough for you at this time.

If you know you're serious about photography, taking the Professional Photography Course is probably the best way to go, since it covers almost everything in the Short Course and contains much more as well. As we've noted, it's our most popular course. In addition to advanced photography techniques, you'll learn a great deal about the business of photography.
